BNB BY CAMI - Nail care

Remove with care.
Keep your confidence.

A little patience goes a long way. Follow the right removal method for your adhesive, then give your natural nails some love.

No pulling, peeling or popping. Your kit includes a mini plastic cuticle pusher. Use its flat end only to gently ease away a press-on that has already loosened. Never wedge it under a firmly attached nail, use it as a lever or scrape your natural nail. If you feel resistance or pain, stop.

Removing glue-on nails

Use a dedicated remover labelled for press-on nail glue, or an acetone nail remover labelled for artificial-nail removal. Follow your chosen product's instructions. Warm water and oil alone may not release this strong glue.

  1. Get comfortable and protect your space.Work in a ventilated area, away from flames and heat. Protect surfaces and avoid getting remover on broken or irritated skin. Do not heat or microwave acetone.
  2. Choose your removal method. For a dedicated nail-glue remover, apply and wait exactly as its label directs. Do not force a gap to get the remover underneath.

For an acetone soak, put a small amount in an acetone-safe glass or ceramic bowl. Apply a little petroleum jelly around the cuticles and surrounding skin, then soak just your nail tips for the time stated on the remover. With pure acetone, check after about 10-15 minutes; full removal may take longer.
  3. Check gently, then give it more time if needed.Once a press-on is loose, use the flat end of your mini plastic pusher to gently guide it away. It should move with almost no pressure. If it resists, leave it attached and repeat the remover or soak according to the label. If the plastic tool softens in solvent, stop using it.
  4. Soften any remaining glue.Use the remover as directed and gently wipe away softened residue. Do not pick, scrape or file through your natural nail to remove stubborn glue.
  5. Wash, dry and moisturise.Wash your hands with mild soap, dry thoroughly, then apply the cuticle oil from your kit and a hand cream.

Hoping to reuse your set? Acetone can soften or melt press-ons and damage gel, chrome or other finishes. Dedicated removers, including acetone-free formulas, can also affect them. Check the label; reuse cannot be guaranteed. Never force a nail off to save the set.

For temporary wear

Removing adhesive tabs

  1. Start with a warm soak.Soak your fingertips in comfortably warm, soapy water for 10-15 minutes. Avoid hot water.
  2. Add a little oil around the edges.Massage a small amount of cuticle oil around the press-on edges and allow it time to reach any naturally loosened areas.
  3. Ease away only when loose.Use the flat end of your mini plastic pusher to gently guide the loosened press-on away. If there is resistance, soak again. Do not pry or peel.
  4. Remove the tab residue.Gently roll away loose adhesive with your fingertip. If it is stubborn, use a remover labelled for adhesive tabs and follow its directions. Wash, dry and moisturise afterwards.

Used both tabs and glue? Follow the nail-glue removal method above.

A little everyday love

Aftercare for your natural nails

Keep them moisturised

Massage cuticle oil around your nails daily and use hand cream after washing. Your kit's cuticle oil is ideal for this step.

Be gentle with the surface

Avoid aggressive buffing, scraping or picking. Use a fine nail file only to smooth a rough free edge.

Protect your hands

Wear gloves for cleaning and washing dishes. Keep your nails clean and dry, and avoid using them as tools.

Check before your next set

Do not reapply over sore, peeling, damaged or discoloured nails. Allow damage to recover and seek advice if you are unsure.

Stop using a remover if it burns or irritates your skin and rinse it off. For persistent pain, swelling, redness, nail lifting or unusual discolouration, seek advice from a pharmacist or healthcare professional before applying another set.

Helpful products, simple options

Start with what you already have: your kit's mini plastic cuticle pusher and cuticle oil, plus mild soap, a towel and hand cream. Oil helps moisturise; it is not a substitute for a remover when strong glue is still bonded.

Petroleum jelly & hand cream

A thin layer of petroleum jelly around the nail helps protect surrounding skin during acetone removal. Use your usual hand cream afterwards; an expensive treatment is not necessary.

A few things to know

Why is my press-on still firmly attached?

Strong glue can need more time, especially with a recent application. Let the remover work for its labelled time and repeat only as directed. If it remains firmly attached, ask a qualified nail professional for removal help instead of increasing pressure.

Can I use the plastic pusher to pop them off?

No. The pusher guides an already loosened nail away; it should not break a strong glue bond. Popping or levering a press-on off can remove layers of your natural nail.

How do I store a set that survived removal?

If the nails are intact and the remover allows reuse, gently remove loose adhesive, clean as directed for that product and let the nails dry completely. Store them in your nail box. Do not reuse cracked, warped or damaged tips.
